Crash

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Sunday, 6th November 2005 @ 02:29:06 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Gunfire, hit and run,
In every moment we’ve begun
Broken lines and censured need
Fractured souls that don’t believe
And cannot see and will not know
Until beneath the falling snow
We’re freed
When everything and everyone
Twists around and comes undone
We’ll split the seams and tie the knots
And remember what we once forgot
Of top secret, invisible cloaks
And all the things that we need most
Crash
We are manmade nightmares
Victims of our own worst fears
Rising up to then fall down
Until we’re changed, until we’ve found
Ourselves standing in the moment when
The circle completes, end to end
To need
And life explodes and no one cares
We’re vulnerable, alone and scared
'Til someone’s hand reaches out
Shoving itself through walls of doubt
As snow falls from summertime skies
And we finally open up our eyes
Crash

Reality waits inside nowhere
A desperate moment brings us there
But there’s nothing but a dream to lose
Until we crash head on into the truth
For everything disappears the day
We learn to fear why we’re afraid

When, at last, we…

Crash

Oh snemmy, this was amazing. Yeah, a weird little door I've been through
myself. But the word "crash" is usally ended by the tiny phrase "and burn"
on the other side of my door.
*heavy sigh*
However, you are right, of course, we should let go the dream
and at least TRY to live it to a certain degree. Even it is does mean...

....crashing

Wonderful write snem. Simply wonderful.

Your writing is senastional. I totally agree with Roxie and Emy on this one. A truly talented writer who can always produce an outstanding write at any given time.
Well done.

Well, now!

You've tackled something huge here, and the result is very intense. Life and its crash-points, our attitudes toward these moments and toward everything around us as well, before and after... these are some of my favorite themes, and, well, I can't say much more, but simply sit and shake my head.

Well done!

(who thinks that the movie - if it's the one by the same name as this poem - is definitely one to stir up such thoughts, indeed yes!)

It seems like you've taken bits and pieces and blended them into headon life lesson. The sources may be obscure, but the message is clear!!!
I love the way this wraps up!

Once again, poetic perfection on the world as it seems, dreams, crashing, life....yes life.

You always seem to be able to say what I'm sure many of us think, yet, you do it in an amazing and fascinating way.

Damn.

You know, when I need reality to hit me hard, I come to read your poetry.

This time, I didn't need it, but it hit all the same.

This is good hun. I find I prefer your freeverse to your rhyming poems sometimes, but this one is up near the best. I love the repetition, it stands out powerfully.

Great write, sweetie.
