Why did I fall, for the Girl Next Door?

Contributed by tatikaze on Saturday, 5th November 2005 @ 05:04:12 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Enormous testimonies,
Presented from respect,
Quiet are the lips of mine,
regarding my soul trek.

Repetitive emotions I do restrain,
For I fear my quest is lost,
Looking in yiour eys tonight,
Inside I sense a frost.

Heat of an inferno I'll hail,
with me on bending knee,
Striving for your attention,
hoping more for you and me.

To you I listen with immense,
withdrawn from all the rest.
Forrbidden were you and I discussed,
Now apologies for failing the test.

Being Unable to walk away,
Realizing the way you set me free.
Gallons of tears which I have cried,
fading hopes of you..... in love with me.

Seeking dreams which are all but lost,
Exploring Remedies to ease my soul,
Impatiently awaiting a clear cut sign,
for my heart you would control.

One answer to a question
A new begining to a possible end.
"Does your heart ache as much as mine?,
wanting more than just a friend?"

I am aware of the conditions,
on which we had to part.
Commitment to your friends,
not worth the drama it would start.

I Simpliy burried the sorrow,
Alongside with my confusion.
Pretended things were alright,
building false illusions.

Since the first time we kissed,
the moment has been captured in my head,
Respecting the bond we both share
The one for my sibling whos also your friend.

The qualities of the woman I was hunting for,
were encrypted within your text.
Once again instincts proved wrong,
Believing you wanted more than just sex!

As I loose myself in your sweet face,
Collecting information from your eyes,
Processing all of the words you said to me,
Keeping all the truth and filtering out all lies.

Although blood is thicker than water,
To my guns I always Stick,
For my sister whos unaware of what shes done,
My heart was shattered with your brick.

Sister grateful you should be,
For a great friend you have indeed,
Lossing my first real crush in 52 months,
The Girl Next Door is who I needed.

A second chance for the girl next door?
Is this too much for me to ask.....?
Never do I grant a second try,
but my first was too fast!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
