Silvery eyes empty, totaly blank,
Looked upon surroundings, broken.
Landscape ravaged, burnt and black,
And soggy bread, a priceless token.
Dazzling moon, contrasted destruction vivid,
The resembling child, her despair complete.
Dark clouds thundering, centers livid,
To the blackened land, they can't compete.
Dead bodies, dark where they lay,
Blood stained dirt, souls gone.
Forever lost, that’s how she'll stay,
Alive for now, but the only one.
Empty now, this battlefield,
The fight ended, both sides lost.
Because neither side would yield,
Total destruction was the final cost.

...you communicated...so much of life is a battlefield...it's not just us poets that are hurting...most never find open sky...
...I have...really...I'm even beginning to trust it...of course I'm in my second marriage which is on the rocks...had a mental breakdown...was deeply depressed for fifty-three of those years...but, sincerely, there is hope...
...wish I had more than hope to offer...well, I can offer a brother's love...
...keep swinging...
