images of you and images of me, trying to be what
everyone expects us to be...

am i good enough to be worthwhile, can he see me for
who i truly am and still smile....

strong and bold the perfect front,
weak and too honest be the downfall of my luck...

all the attention I do get is that what he craves,
a piece of my mind and time is that too much.....

my heart does long to know the secret,
solitude does get to be a bit much....

a brief visit a quick glance then he is gone,
vanishing glimpses of one who takes my breath away....

behind me i feel a presence so near,
soft words he whispers hot breath on my ear.....

a feeling of warmth and the strength returns,
images are revisited to what they once were.
