Cozy Dimensions of You

Contributed by Man_On_High on Saturday, 5th November 2005 @ 12:36:12 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Soft upon a whispered adieu
the moonlit memories sail out ..
jewelled with rememberance
though out of sight but never out of mind;
behind the silver lisp of faint shore voices
burning forever, in the singing surf.

I look out-
spearing the folded leaves,
fragile as 'brush of fingertips' ..
ineffible and certain as the wind-
a dialogue the usual heart cannot snare..

and a star hisses headlong to earth-
trailing immemorial airs
as footfalls live on.

A cloud stirs upon the moon,
a slow, sure wink
and fragrant waves below
inform this night of peace.

Deep in my midnight room of rhymes;
the soft busy chat, memories of days gone by-
the book...spread sacrificial upon the table,
as I inhabit again, the old cozy dimensions of you
and ponder other new friends I have made
in all the moonlit, eloquence of constancy...
telling me this place is Yours and Mine-

and so may the shadows be forever kind to you.

You captured me with the very first line, Billy. So faintly it falls from the lips ...
Utterly beautiful. What an incredibly eloquent and articulate piece. You have
such a gift and rare talent that I stand back......awe-struck, and speechless
more often than not. It is so hard to verbalize what the heart feels, but in your
writes, it is seemingly effortless. This piece, in particular, embodies unmitigated
emotion and honesty. I am astounded ..... once again.

Such beautiful words written by such a beautiful person. I've always said that you're in a league of your own. You've earned your place amongst the greatest of writers dearest Billy. Your words grace the hearts of whom so ever reads them. Mesmerizing, captivating and absolutely sensational. You can always put a smile on my face my sweet friend. A very talented, gifted an extraordinary person you sure are Billy. Nobody could ever fill your shoes. You're one in a million.
