Slipping away

Contributed by mindset on Friday, 4th November 2005 @ 02:20:19 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Never been a religious man
Always listened to the old people speak
Never thought I was unlucky
Always worked an honest living
But I wished upon every shooting star
To be more
Listened to the muse of law
Read many things
Looked inside to find the rule
Looked up above to find a place
Held it so tight my last embrace
Looked into the eyes of an only woman
Knew true love was only real
Walked away when I should of stayed
Came back again a kneel long journey rest
Lost those close to me And bled the red rain
Seen the gold in many colors
Walked around and found the place so lost
Is it a crime to be the rest
I know we all loose
And sacrifice is our middle name
But what about us and what we remain
I seek the sky so much of my dreams
To be the same and only be
No more tears a lost
Just to be harmony no more inside lost
To all this that never was
We only tryed and only wanted to be
The unnamed cross

This is a good, emotive spill, seemingly straight from the heart. Your thoughts and views here make alot of sense. I spotted a couple typos, 'loose' should be 'lose', and 'tryed' is 'tried'. Other than that, you did a good job here. Thanks for sharing.
