Sandy Beaches
Sandy beaches,
washed by the tide,
a place I trust
my thoughts to confide.
I scribble a name
in the moist sandy shore,
and wait for the tide
my thoughts to store.
Only the seagulls,
and silent starfish,
know of my ventures,
know of my wish...
one little wish,
I pray will come true,
'neathe the sandy shores
of tomorrow.

this is so light and simple... emotional without that brand of teen angst we tend to slip into when writing this kind of stuff... this is beautiful. |
