goodbyepoetry

Something died inside me the day you left,
a deep dark hole remains, bottomless pit.
Tho' I had time to prepare for our separation,
my heart fell under lock 'n' key.
Words can never express what you meant to me,
a huge space you keep in my heart.
Once flowed happiness,
now all is dark and still.
Where you are now,
I may never get to be.
Your New journey began,
the day you left me.
If tears were money,
I would b rich.
I'd buy back time,
until we were together again.
One last goodbye is what I need from you,
my gramma, my friend.

...I was surprised with the ending...expected the loss of a lover...losing figures of stature, significance, security, warmth and love...even if it isn't a romantic loss, it is a significant loss...
...funny, though...I was relieved when I found it wasn't the loss of a spouse, significant other, romantic interest...not sure what that means...
...I hope the memory of her will help to heal your sorrow and loss...
