Pain

Contributed by wyrd_faerie on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003 @ 12:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Pain, this is pain, this is feeling
Hurt, infinite sadness, death is healing
Where she wants to be is where she is now
Everything hurts but the world can’t pull her down
Black velvet corset and red satin lace
Gleaming eyes and a porcelain face
Chains around her ankles and leather in her hair
Oceans in her eyes that no one ever knew were there
Her soul, this is where the hunger was born
This is it; this is beauty in its highest form
You pinned her mind to the skies, but you don’t understand
This is all she ever wanted, this is all she ever had
Without this, no one knows who she is
Just another clone, another eternal misfit
This is her; this is who she is now
You can’t take it away; you won’t touch her thorned crown
This is real, she is beauty, she is life
Forever winning that battle between the blade and the knife
Numb from it all so it doesn’t hurt
She’s felt the stars on her skin and tasted their dirt
She’s read the stories and walked on the sea
I became her, but she’s everything I’ll never be

I like it, the imagery to me comes in distorted geometry and time.

Your writing has such depth and emotion; such vividness and I believe there is hope that I can see between the lines, in this piece. Am I right? Again I thank you for sharing.

I loved every single word...this is so beautiful.
It makes me see images...almost close enough to touch them.

i Love this poem... the above line is very personal to me and reflective to my own self... you have written a beautiful piece of poetry... the kind i want to print out on black paper, in red letters, with bleeding roses, and put up on my bathroom mirror... blessings...

simply and breathtakingly beautiful. there are no words that would do justice in describing how outstanding this poem is. you have an amazing talent. you reviewed mine so i had to come read yours. i am oh so glad that i did. words can't describe how exquisite this poem is. it's origanallity and discriptive splendor is just breathtaking. i'd put the lines that i liked best but it would end up being the poem in its entirety. may all your days be filled with light and joy.

Always,
Riki
