Untitled A Poem

Contributed by kareless on Thursday, 3rd November 2005 @ 12:49:11 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Restrained from the gain that awaits you,
blocked by a wall, a door, a chain, trying to get through.
It's tough to beat, but you can't take the defeat.
The battle is great, but it is not your fate-
to fall to the ground without a sound.
A whimper, a cry, NO!!!...You scream, I WILL NOT DIE!!!
So you tear down that wall, you tear down that door,
you bust through that chain.
There is much to be won, and your future is none-to play games with.
You will not let them prove you wrong, you must always stand strong.
No matter what they might tell you; what you're fighting for is true.
You deserve the right, to stand up and fight,
against all those who compromise,
the dream that so plainly grows in your eyes.
So soon now it will be, that all you can see,
is the truth from the lies, which shall set you free.
You will never let them see you fall.
You will never drop that ball.
Fight you have done, look at all you have won.
All the knowledge you came upon, all the drama you faced is gone.
Now you have won, all that they said couldn't be done.
You passed them in laps.
Those who said you'll never be more, f... that, it's for the saps!
