Constantly active afraid of solitude, I keep the hours full of activity
Surrounded by people that I though I knew, I am ever stuck in silent captivity
I distract my curious mind from learning, or discovering my hearts mortality
I only ever knew exhausted slumber, struggling within from my own reality
A life transformed into the ordinary, the thought of such a thing is unbearable
I fear I will go to sleep awake tonight, so that my life may become a parable
Often even perfect can be over looked, never neglect what appears to be flawless
It is those whose soft tears fall behind smiles, that fail the thoughts of Darwin and wallace

You have some good thoughts in this piece, and some advanced rhyming, which is always a plus...I would've liked to have seen this expanded a bit more though, if only to draw more from your emotions. I still enjoyed the read. Keep up the writes, and welcome to YPDC!
