The man earned the trust of
the child, with his deceiving
warmth and charm;
yet all of the while he was
plotting, to cause her incurable
harm.
He wormed his way into her life,
with his deciept and flattering
lies;
and this child needed so much
to believe, that he could soothe
her cries.
He told her he was her friend,
and in him she could safetly
trust;
that he would protect her with
his life, though his soul
burned deeply with lust.
When at last the child felt
safe, within his presence and
care;
the molestation then began,
yet the child remained unaware.
He told her venomous lies,
as she was caught in his web
of deceipt;
and his words of love, she
needed to hear, and to honestly
believe.
The little girl was very
confused, for love should
not feel this way;
yet she never tried to stop
the abuse, that he inflicted
upon her each day.
This carried on for several
years, even when the child
was grown;
and even though she'd learned
the truth, she believed his
poisonous words.
She felt guilty and unworthy,
dirty and ashamed;
for she believed that she
was bad enough, to deserve
everything that he gave.
This woman still struggles
with shame and guilt, even
though it was not her fault;
yet she still blames herself
for the hideous acts,
of the tainted, perverted
adult.
