I sit and wonder what it’d be like
If my dad was still around
But then I remember all the bad
All the things he did
All the hate and pain
All the nights asking please no
Crying till I couldn’t cry anymore
Wishing it would all go away
And just maybe one day he’d love me
And we could be a family
A family with hugs and kisses
One with no pain or fear
It hurts to think back
Yet it hurts to look forward
With a new dad in place of the old
With hugs and kisses
I love you and goodnights
Get and all time fear
Of disappointment and despair
Hatred and denial
