Here we are again, mindless
Trace the scar again, blindness
Relive the evident fall
Relapse, surrender all
The capable heart is retreating
The simple start of believing
But I am nothing without you
I am nothing without truth
Hold me
Hold me so tightly
Hold me so gently
Never let go
I’m dangling over the thorns
And dread of the torn life
Decisions, wrong and right
Are we okay, are we okay
Am I alive, don’t let me die
Hold me
Hold me so tightly
Hold me so gently
Never let go
I’m drifting
Looking for lifting
And I’ve only found you
So hold me please do
Never let me drown
This pain that I’ve found
If life could be rewound
..........I’d hold you instead
But the capable heart is believing
That it’s time again to start retreating

Awesome... I'm totally taken by the line " the capable heart is retreating..." i can relate so much with it that i wish i had written it myself. But, it's your talent that brings it to light.... I honestly think that this piece should have received more in the way of comments and praise, but people often never see the diamond in the rough.

I still can't get over that, it gives the heart brilliance and surrender that can only be found in experience
I can't wait to view more of your earlier work. |
