ARTIST

Topic: InspirationalPoems

I was called an artist today.

No, I'm just a person with a lot to say.

If I don't write it down I'll really go crazy.

I guess I tell the story of life,

Doesn't everybody in some way.

It just happens that I write.

I'm able to express myself in all ways.

I don't think of myself as an artist.

Activist maybe.

Sometimes people need to wake up,

on a lot of different things.

I'm just a humble soul,

Servant as you would.

Trying to get certain messages across.

For someone who dose not have a voice,

And cannot be heard.

But I thank you for the title of artist,

But I cannot except it.

I'm sorry.

I am just one soul trying to get a message

across to people make them open

there mind's and heart's,

Before we lose are kids completely

I can relate to this, easy... leaders.. different views to share, from same ideas... I think we are called twisted souls, when not understood, we think with our minds, share light in different ways...not your everyday keep in step.. all my life I have been johnny.. I can never keep up with the crowd, so I step alone at times on my own...cannot always go along with the crowd, because...I am
trusting I can reach out to someone, to guide them in my own crazy way...I just do not stand still when it comes to helping others in need... I write too, from the heart..and often to keep from having the crazies... I am misunderstood so very often...only ones who are on my wavelength can appreciate the Quote, unquote, artistic being...we put importance on other peoples lives, sometimes risking our own in order to guide them through, praying we make it ourselves, but making sure that they do.. yep, thinkers and doers is what they call these types..no arrogance about you my friend..blessed are those who are humble and help out...

pretty good, but there is nothing wrong with being called an artist.

I can understand this feeling you speak of. I need to write things out too, or else I'd go crazy! I'm just too chicken to share my work, so I just comment on others, and enjoy reading it :D

It's the constant attempt to express the inexpressible that makes man an artist
and you are lucky indeed to have this desire.

Robert Davidson.
