The Way to Bliss

Oh the simple pleasures
Of being just a kid
No unhappy memories
Of which we would be rid
No complex wishes; wants; desires;
Always confident, always true;
Always thinking we’re invincible…
Always saying “I know” when we don’t have a clue.
No nightmares about what we’ve done
No regrets for our inactivity
No doubt for our futures
No lack of outlets for our creativity.
And as we grow yet even more mature
And find our once-huge world closing
And notice even more of our years pass
And all of our dreams are done while dozing.
Many, many problems
But one solution, this;
Throughout our whole life;
Ignorance is bliss.
