My feet caress the ground
As barefoot I walk
The connection is complete
The earth and I are one
How gently the dark caresses
The wind blows softly round
Crickets sing a tender song
The night and I are one
I take a deep breath
Of moist musky air
An owl flies overhead
The sky and I are one
I raise my hands to the stars
That sparkle high above
Slowly I turn to the four winds
The universe and I are one
