After everything my mother has taught me, you would think that I would have a clue
But I don’t
Still trying to seek happiness through other human beings
Running as far and as fast away from personal responsibility as possible
But I hate to be alone
I panic
I get depressed
And I starve myself from happiness that I deserve when I am alone
I understand the difference between being introverted and extroverted
But this goes beyond that
I want to be happy without the aid of other people
I don’t want to be co-dependant anymore
I see there is a difference
But I can’t figure out how to self-heal and how to trust myself
I guard and protect other’s feelings with my life
But I toss my own aside like dirty laundry
Perhaps the first step in this long journey is to teach myself how to believe that I am important
That I am beautiful
That my feelings count
That I should be my number one fan
