Faith is that which I no longer embrace-
Fractured by you,
A bequest from within my heart-
Offered to your soul,
This sublime gift is that of love-
Only to be cast aside,
How could you not sense my spirit?
And be not moved…
Behind a pretense of happy smiles-
I hide my grief,
Within the shadow depths of my heart-
I need you,
In the realms of this ominous abyss-
My soul is tortured,
A multitude of faces I now search-
Still yours eludes me…
No sanctuaries can I now find-
From my crying soul,
Only a heavy force weighs down on my soul-
Again darkness approaches,
To steal my breath and blur my sight-
Sadness my companion,
Making my heart now my own enemy-
And love my adversary…
