Lifepoems

The swan swims past
So silently,
Her dress of feathers
Swift and sweet.
Head under water
She searches for food ,
Fishes for feed
They hide in the reed.
Frightened and flurried
They head for the shore,
As the bird continues
To search for more.
The beak of this bird
Has captured their lives,
She returns above
As she reverses the dive.

This had a nice rhythm to the verse that in a way, paid homage to the beautiful bird of which you speak. Lovely poem! They are such a graceful bird, and you captured that here. Blessings! Keep up the poetry. |

I guess the point is found in the pointlessness of the fishes lives...or that the preditor's appearance in life is beautiful, and therfore more valuable than that of little fishes' lives.
Wonderful write. |
