Pain

Contributed by LittleMissWonderful on Thursday, 27th October 2005 @ 03:36:46 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I can feel him in the pit of my abdomen...
Squirming... He bites at the soft flesh there.
Tearing at my insides.

He is a beautiful child of torment.
Bright eyes, and sharp little teeth.
When he burrows deep beneath the skin
I wimper in pain... Pain...

He eats, and eats;
devouring the soul.
All I have left are the bones...
The skeleton of who I once was.

I can't escape this child;
the demon deep within.
He worms through my belly,
tearing my intestines to shreds.

He is searching for birth.
He wishes to break free of this empty shell that I've become.
Torn, I'm just the vessel.
Forever blessed to carry the burden of Pain.

My tears are ripe for the taking,
and bitterness oozes from my pores.
Every nerve is afire
as I curse the day he will be born.

Concieved from deceite and abandonment,
the child I bear is cruel.
His father is the bastard of hatred;
his mother, a worthless fool.

My life is swollen and bleeding;
marred by every cut and tear.
My breath is coming ragged.
For I am plump with the child of despair.

O' beautiful creation,
how you bite and scratch my womb.
I scream in madness during the lonliness of night,
watching as ever closer draws my doom.

This angel in my belly
was concieved of abandonment and deceite.
I've never known one so cruel.
His father is the bastard of hatred;
his mother, a worthless fool.

It's interesting, I'll give you that. I'm wondering who that father was, however. And why the emphasis on 'fool'. I'm tempted to think that N believes themselves a fool for being impregnated by 'the bastard of hatred', but the essential abstraction of this piece (the inception of pregnancy) leaves me confused.

Keep writing,

N_F
