Untitled # 9

Contributed by SeanMcHaney on Thursday, 27th October 2005 @ 02:01:47 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I have written poems about lost love,
And about lost friends,
I have told of the sorrows,
Of the pains.

I have written poems about leaving home,
And about leaving friends.
I ahve shown my worries,
My fears.

I have written few about violence,
And few against.
Of men dying,
And children crying.

I have written to say I am sorry,
To state mylove,
I have written to say goodbye,
And to make one cry.

But never have I written one about you.
Of the loving way you showed me,
Nor of the caring way you helped me,
Never once of the way I have been shaped by you.

I have written about my father,
My sister,
Even in ways my brother,
But never even a whisper,
Of you, my mother.

Never have I told of the way I ador you,
Of how I fear letting you down.
Not once did I write of how you raised me,
of how you raised my sister, my brother.

Not even a word about the nights when dad was gone,
How you held us strong,
Not a peep about how you never gave into your fears,
Even though I know they had to be there.

Nor of how when a girl hurt me deep,
You would say the things that needed to be said,
Not of how I hated hearing these words,
Not of how I knew they were true.

I have written poems about hate,
But never before of the love you showed.
I have written poems about my insecurities,
But never of the safety I feel in your presence.

I have written poems about friends,
But never the friend I find in you.
I have written poems about many things,
But until now,
Never,
No not once,
Did I write,
About you.

I allow myself to cry in my sleep, as long as my pillow does not mind, this is such a beautiful warm write, I like that you wrote about the you, to the you, the you did it perfectly for the you:>The whole poem is tender, the boo hoo sobs drip down my cheeks:>

Nor of how when a girl hurt me deep,
You would say the things that needed to be said,
Not of how I hated hearing these words,
Not of how I knew they were true.

Our son ruined our vacation, his girlfriend left him, the whole time down the road, he sat in the back seat of the car, just moping, he was age 16, so next year, we left him home, and we ruined our own vacation:> Now his girlfriend that left him became his wife, and we let her have the pain, and glad we did, because our pain who married a pain gave us a lovely grandson, and now we are all pain free:>

Meagan writes silly quotes:>
