~
You whispered I love you
Knowing he’d never hear
He couldn’t believe that
You’d still want to be near
His deafness did blind him
From what he should have seen
You'd be there beside him
Despite what fate might bring
His pride interceded
Then he pushed you away
And you loved none other
Until your dying day
~
Theresa, did you teach her
To be what you couldn’t be
See what she means to me
Here in my heart
Theresa, can you reach her
From somewhere beyond this place
Take us in your embrace
While we’re apart
Hold us close in the dark
~
I’ll never accomplish
Such as what he has done
But she believes in me
Says I’ve only begun
With her there beside me
I’ll be more than I am
Her faith could then guide me
It would steady my hand
~
Theresa let me please her
Return what she’s given me
Loving her endlessly
The way you do still
Theresa, should I meet her
In some other place or time
She’d complete the life I’d find
As ink to a quill
And she always will
~
Theresa, did you teach her
To be what you couldn’t be
See what she means to me
Here in my heart
Theresa, can you reach her
From somewhere beyond this place
Take us in your embrace
Here in the dark
I've been hers from the start
~

Snazzy, you never cease to amaze, my dear friend. This was breathtaking.
A brilliant work of art that captures the mind, body and soul. I've read this
over and over and am still staring at my blank flat screen, wondering how
on earth I could ever possibly describe what your writes evoke in me.
Each one is so different and yet, still holds a power over me that I can't
quite capture in words. Just know that your writes hold me spellbound.
A very pleasant inclination, to say the least. This piece, in particular is so
daringly heartgripping. The sheer beauty of it brings tears to my eyes.
You have an amazing heart, scotty.
C'est une belle chose ....
*hugs and stuff*

reaction to this wirting ...
however they dont take away my initial feelings
of the beauty of this lyric poem ...
it glows with deep heartfelt love & devotion

Very good job Nazzy...This is so spiritual, and emotive, and open. I enjoyed this read, and I especially like the ending. Well done!

*Shakes head with disbelief, yet knowing that this is more than just illusion...*
What I've come to find in your work.. is that there is always a story. Something hidden and personal... something beautiful and radiant... there is so much laced around your words, so much meaning... even if the reader doesn't know the entire tale, the emotions embedded there can be related to... indeed. I could hear it, this nostalgic and solemn melody of heavenly proportions...
Theresa, can you reach her
From somewhere beyond this place
Take us in your embrace
Here in the dark
I've been hers from the start
Riveting.... absolutely divine and heart-wrenchingly vivid. My friend.... your words must be recognized by all.... there is too much beauty in your poems and songs to be hidden in shadows... Resonating with truth, and flooding with emotion. I thank you... for every syllable that comes from your fingertips. Enchant us once again, chasseur... Always a pleasure reading, commenting, and hearing from you, cheri. Hoping all is well. Merci beaucoup for sharing this masterpiece with us. A true gem of a write. All my love. Forever,
Votre petite fleur de souffrance et bonheur,
