Glance or Gaze

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Last Sunday we spoke of glance or gaze
Which do we do most often these days?
The object of our attention -- does it dwell in our minds?
Do we dwell on it often and does it take all our time?
Does it persuade us to follow or just to buy?
Do we really want to be like some other guy?
Will it make us richer or popular be?
Is it more fun to be someone else -- not me?
Something is wrong with this picture I fear.
Someone else should fill our hearts, minds and ear.
We've neglected the One who has made us unique.
He is the Creator of our very physique.
He never wanted us to be like any other one.
His purpose for us is to be like His one only Son.
He cares for us so much more than this world can.
He went to the cross and revealed His Love's plan -
To take all the wrongs we ever have done
And give us salvation - the victory's won!
So now where should our glances and gazes be --
We should glance at the world, but gaze at The Three:
The Father who's always there for us when we call,
The Son who came, died and arose to save us all,
And The Spirit who gently nudges us to come -
To be part of the fam'ly along with the Son.
Let the glance at the world be all that you give,
But gaze at The Three and eternity live.

Oh yes, you must asked question in order to understand, or else why go on living in the dark, ask, ask, ask, just like when Jesus was teaching, they asked, and He answered...we are all unique, created special...this world is the holding tank, intake if you will, a place where we can begin to understand, it is in this world we are tested so to speak, no, I do not believe we are graded, in ranks, or passed off to be the perfect slice of beef, there are lessons to be learned, and we all try to follow, help out, if your neighbor falls, pick him up, turn around, notice, then lend a hand, so when the perfect hand comes to you, you will recognize it...
