Wondering in natures way
Gazing about this glorious day
Observing the beauty of the fall trees
Fantastic colors with which to please
Rays of sunlight through the branches
Walking along kicking, he dances
The rustle of leaves underfoot
A trail to follow deeper into the woods
A noise of a nostalgic tone
Conducted as a children's song
A solitary tune to contemplate
How this symphony of wind will resonate
How in our childhood frame of mind
In our pondering will we find
As we dreamily take in all the beauty
Will our fantasy decipher between play and duty
With an imaginary friend in tow
Along the trail we frolic to and fro
Squealing happily as we leap into a pile of leaves
Many of which were still tumbling in the breeze
We stop in a clearing in the midst of our revelry
And gaze up into the sunny sky knowingly
As he lies on the ground he asks God out loud
If his mommy and daddy live with Him in the clouds

I had a beautiful focus on this write, a deep spirited devotion, the feel of this mystical awareness of God's being, very sentimental poem, made me homesick for the beautiful countryside....I wondered, lying in the deep ferns, looking up when as a small girl, about clouds.. heaven...my imaginary friend turned out to be real... God... excellent write.. very relaxing, full of life..

Geesh! I've missed alot in the few days I haven't been here. You certainly picked the proper category for this piece...Many parts of it had me feeling nostalgic just reading along. This was a pleasant read, and a nice nod to the simpler days of youth.
Nicely done!

Will this is a remarkable write. You get such a tranquil feeling after reading your poem. Ah those were the days back in our youth. Well done on such a great write.
