Floating in orbital existence a metaphor for my mind
scrutinizing my past reflects the true nature of my crime
treading past broken dreams this heap of shattered hope
never realizing a long term plan not looking at the true scope
rudimentary thoughts all abstract in this view
never seeing the freedom that had eventually grew
cloaked by choices of regreat and the passion on my soul
feeling the escape of pure thought losing all aspect of a goal
watching all humanity wither in decay
as there scope so broad as diamonds sparkling in their way
losing grasp of nature or the equality of man
fight over oil and the resources of the land
this sadness slowly filling my heart
watching this world fall apart
alone in this metaphor right at the start
watching the pieces dissolve in the dark
