3.21 a.m
The time on the clock ticks round like a bomb
I stare at the hands they do not wave back
Time moves a whirl
Like a jumble in my mind
Like the tumble
Rumble
The thunder outside
And in my head
The stormclouds are so much darker in here
Than out there
And all the while
The world turns
And my head spins
And thoughts of you spin around
The streets of my head
In a shiny new car.
These streets shone so clean and new
When your presence graced them
Now my city blocks are trash
Life turned in a flash
In a flash you were gone
Darkness came and turned off the sun
("One day a rain's gonna come....")
When will these thoughts cease
Give me some release
A feeling of peace
But that's not to be I wont let me be
And still my mind whirls
In a crazy pointless circle
And the timebomb ticks....
3.22 a.m.
