The Welcoming...

Contributed by Sinfullilmissmuppet on Monday, 24th October 2005 @ 01:36:58 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The door sits silently
Beckoning the tempted
Waiting for a reason
To change its suspended state

He sits waiting behind door ajar
He plays wolf
From fabled fairy tales
Where is his little red ride?

She wears red lips
Proud. Arrogant. Rebelling outside reason.
She hasn't time for warnings,
Loud as fresh corpses

The door slowly opens
The arthritic hinges squeal
It smiles at the prey
Entering the spiders tomb

He sees red
He bares his fangs
He feels her body
He feels.........hungry

She sees hostility
She wishes she weren’t so red
She feels the bite marks
She feels .........consumed

The door masks the sound
Of the terrors of the night
From the radiance of putrid light
The door locks

He plays little games
Twisted little fun
The fly dangling, cocooned on silver strand
The game already won

She feels the rope burn
She hates her
She wants freedom
Too late little one
