As soon as I wake,
You're the first thing on my mind,
How you're so loving,
So unbearably kind,
As soon as I wake,
I cry into my sheets,
Not because I'm sad,
But it's you that I was to meet,
As soon as I wake,
I can already smell your skin,
From the night before,
That we consider a sin,
As soon as I wake,
Your face floods my eyes,
I love your bright smile,
Your head that's in the skies,
As soon as I wake,
I want to fall asleep,
Because then I'd be with you,
We could dream in peace.
