NegativePositive

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 23rd October 2005 @ 07:46:26 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Hearts ever searching
Drifting to and fro
Lamp lights glowing
Putting on a scary show

Happiness elusive
Always just beyond reach
Crying in the darkness
Trying to cross the breach

Looking for forever
When will they see?
Contentment comes from within
It starts with loving me

Traveling it matters not
Where we hang our hat
We need to learn joy
At every place we are at

Lonely sometimes the road may be
And sad times do abound
Remember to give thanks
And the outcome will astound

It all is a frame of mind
Negative multiplies
Positive attracts more of same
Right before your eyes

Stand strong and believe
In yourself and grow
Learning more each day
And good things you will sow

This is outstanding and describes our beloved ConnieSue to a perfect T. She has been through some hellacious parts of life but has never let them get her down. She loves in spite of it all. Has a heart bigger than her beloved Wyoming and I swear has an open channel to God. She is one of the most loving people I have ever met. God bless her and you for writing this. I wish everyone could know her like I do and they would see a heavenly angel for real. Rita

Oh Shari my dear friend, what a splendid poem. Thank you so much for thinking of me in such a kind light. Wish I could hold you and hug you real Tight.
How loving, how kind, and then the kind comments made. just top the cake...........such lovely friends I know right here on this poetry site.
I must say the highlight of the whole poem was the line "Contentment comes from within
It starts with loving me." Guess who taught me that? Our Loving Lord Christ Jesus. He had no money, no house, nothing of significance, but he didn't need any of that, because he had so much love within himself and for others.
Thank you dear Shari, remember it takes one to know another.
Warm love
consuegranny and mom too.
