The Inner Girl

She's brilliant
She knows that
She's beautiful
She has a harder time believing that

She sacrifices everything
To get something far worse than nothing in return
Because at least nothing would leave her with what she once began with
Instead she is robbed of the magical gifts that are unique only to her

Because of her true equisiteness and the genuine nature of her soul
These gifts will replenish themselves eventually

But it's a shame she chooses losers to share her treasures with
The bigger tragedy is that these morons don't even realize what they are squandering

Someday she will learn
Someday she will have the confidence to recognize all the beauty she portrays on both the inside and out
Someday she will share her gifts with those that will only nurture and protect
Allowing these very special gifts to develop and finally reach a higher potential

But first she has to learn how to believe in herself
She has to learn how to love herself
She has to learn how to take care of herself before taking care of others
She has to realize her irreplaceable radiance
