when did doing the right thing feels so wrong

Contributed by coolbreeze17 on Saturday, 22nd October 2005 @ 07:37:48 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

when you are actually doing what is right
why does everything seem so wrong
when finally you realize that you've made the smart choice
everything just seems like it for the wrong cause
you start off for someone else
begin to turn your life around
but why, they dont beleive you
or even worst they dont care
then it comes down should you countinue on
for yourself, for whom you want to be
because no matter what you do or what you become
you'll always be that same screw up that you used to be
do you change for yourself even if know one else will know
it seems useless your still hurting but now with out a sedative
it gets even harder,
when your becoming the person
they always said you had the potential to be
but no matter what mistakes you once made
theres know changing and there's no changeing there mind

Once people get a view on someone - an opinion, it kind of sticks. It's hard to get people to believe you've changed, or turned your act around. Become a better person. Some people do, but once you have a past, it's kind of hard to lose that reputation. You can work as hard as you want, do as many amazing things as possible, completely turn around, and they'll always be that one person going "Oh yea... I remember what they used to be like." It's an obsessive thing, people stick with what there comfortable with, it's a lot easier to stay with what your used to, then to admit to a change. But you know what, do it for yourself. Don't listen to others, be that better person you want - are - and show them, that you can be who you said you would be. Prove them wrong. You don't need to live your life based on other's opinions, because a lot of people will always remind you of your downfalls, the stupid things you did, one of those, consequential actions kind of thing. But good on you, don't change for anyone but yourself. Great write.
