How Much More Must I Take?

Contributed by radstraightedge on Thursday, 20th October 2005 @ 10:53:27 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I dread this place because I know what it brings. It bring me to a space I'd rather not see. The fights from within they all scream my name. And with all of them I seem to always hold the blame. It's days like this I wish to run away. But running solves nothing and causes more pain. I'm not sure how much more I can stand. Some days I regret that I"ve pushed away the helping hands. I remember the days when my life held nothing but smiles. But now I think back and that life isn't even within miles. I always thought everything was fine. But that was a lie, a life not meant to be mine. These days so good, are hidden in the past, and I long for a day when I might see them at last. But these days I know will never come back, and something to fill this new found void is what I will always lack.

Well I have been there, where this poem speaks, run in your mind, to a safe place, you know where its at, and also, those hands are there, you will smile again, trust me, it all appears upon the mind to be frozen, come out of it, snap to, do not wait like I did, and find out, it was a small thing, no one really has that much time on their hands to notice, only the mind of the mind does this, it is real, oh yes, very real, trust yourself, do not lie to yourself, again I say, you will smile again, the sun is always shining, even when clouds cover our vision, and yes, do not dwell on the past, but also, do not forget the lesson, the felt sense of life, and call it a new day, a new rejoicing day, the end:>

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
