Like a forest fire,
You consume and destroy all
That is alive and beautiful.
What's wrong with you?!
Do you have no heat?
Or perhaps you do,
And it is just diseased.
Blackened.
Maybe your destructive fires
Caught your heart by mistake,
And it, being weak,
Succumbed to your burning passion
For pain.
I hate you!
I hate your black heart!
Your hungry heart!
Vampiric in that you love the taste
Of the blood which pours from our injured hearts.
A murderer in that it is you who've killed
Our once alive souls.
Does your hunger ever end?
You've already drained me
Of any and all love and compassion
I ever had for you.
Isn't that enough?
Can't you stop there?
No,
Because fire needs fuel,
And your next victim is in sight.
Don't you realize that this just won't work?
That, no matter how many hearts you consume,
None will replace yours,
Which was already defective from the start?
You are already dead.
