Your afflicted face
Doesn't shock the eyes
Of whom doesn't see
Your retracted bitterness
Shall no be captured
For whom doesn't hear
No! you don't shine like this
You don't penetrate the petrified hearts
Of the weeds that surround you
You crawl, you provoke disgust
Learn how to live in this world
Use an impenetrable mask
Don't let yourself to be contaminate
Repel the worms that thrown you
And attack smiling, always smiling

I've read, Poor Lost Soul, twice...slowly...very intently...listening...
I have five daughters...Abigail is the youngest...eight come this December 2nd...she is a tomboy maple that runs, laughs, dances, argues, pouts and very capably shoulders the Downe syndrome dynamic...
Your poem brings her to mind because she deals with a speech disorder, appraxia...her receptive language is pretty much normal, but her ability to process and express her thoughts is hindered...it doesn't keep her from trying, however! Many times I have stopped, asked her to repeat, and then very intently...I hush my senses...and, channeling all my awareness into the auditory sense...I listen, filtering each sound, straining for every possible nugget of decipherable data...doing my gut level best not to be the weak link in our sacred, Father, Daughter, dialogue...I am not always successful...she is so patient with me...
I found myself quieting my spirit in just such a way so as not to diminish the poem's ability to express...
You mentioned earlier that our styles are different...they are...but, I Love your style...your style is so generous...it invites participation...the openness not only challenges the mind, but tempts the spirit and soul out of their safe musty niche...my style is meticulously arranged...it leaves little room for interpretation...some would call it a bit constipated...anal? But, I can smile at myself...even laugh...
Life is sweet, really.
Thank you for your poem...it was transferred successfully and now has a life of its own within...
blessings,
enigma...ron
