Broken Family

They're at it again
The screaming begins
I take my brother and hide
In the closet we sit, side by side
I hold his hand, and try to be strong
And remind him that we did nothing wrong
As the screaming arguments grow..
My tears begin to show
This time I don't think it's gonna be alright,
The sound of their fight, is much worse tonight.

We both sit in fear
Wishing we could just disappear..
Now hours have passed
The fighting and screaming has stopped at last
Footsteps near our room, it's just dad...
He kneels by the bed, and tells us not to be sad,
That he loves us, then kisses us Goodnight
And whispers that, tomorrow everything will be alright.

Mom wakes us in morning
Without a warning..
Our family has been broken
What went on last night, will forever remain Unspoken
She tells us to pack our stuff
She's had enough
The fighting has ended..
But our broken family can't be mended.

Tears swell my eyes. Such a heart breaking write. I'm so sorry u and ur brother endured this. Nobody should ever have to put up with domestic absue.
My heart and prayers go out to u.
May u never ever see another day of sorrow.
