Tears

Contributed by gwenevere on Tuesday, 18th October 2005 @ 04:39:47 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

I have cried a million tears
Doubting, waiting, all these years
Lonely in my castle strong
Wondering where I belong

Went away to fight a war
Tore my heart out from it's core
Said you would return to me
Went into infinity

Tears have fallen , drop on drop
Couldn't halt them, couldn't stop
Cried a river in my time
Fall of water, joined with mine

Such a torrent, filled with pain
Taking over land again
Swirling waters circle me
I must hurry to the tree

Tree of hope is waiting here
Takes my worries, takes my fears
Wraps her boughs and holds me tight
Keeps me safe throughout this night

I awake, the sky is red
Look far at the tears I've shed
Amazement, I look out to sea
You are sailing back to me

I absolutely LOVE the rhyme in this poem, gwenevere!

I think I can relate to all tears, because I get sad all too often.

This is a GREAT poem you have here.

Please! Keep 'em comin'!

A paragon of rhthym and rhyme-

Ros, when I return late to your work..
'tis ALWAYS better late then never..
I am so very glad I read this..
It is indeed like taking a deep breath..
(sometimes I take that for granted..breathing you deep that is)
I've forgotten how much I enjoy your work-

Utmost admiration to you..
and this...these words...

Sincerely,
Billy
