Alone in the streets, with no were to go. She lays in the alley trying to fight the freezing cold. With no money in her hand, or food for her to eat. What evil could lay at home to drive this poor child to the streets. And when a child is hungrey, they'll do anything just to eat, because it's survival of the fittest when your living in the streets.
Where you have predators on every corner stalking young children as their prey. You have the pimps and the pushers
who entice her with some food and a place to stay. The next thing you know shes having sex for money and getting high just to make it through the day. The sad thing is, this is the life of a teenage runaway.

I'm a teacher of elementary children...have been for thirty-three years...children are most definitely the most vulnerable among us...that's fairly well understood...what is rarely understood is that chronological age does not an adult make...there are so many adult/children raising children...basically, children raising children...we have family lines that have not seen a true adult for generations...
You've touched on an all encompassing topic that is a source of unending sorrow and pain...
bless you big time
