Monday whispers in my ear
It's still too late
Nothing is going to change
as long as it stays.
All along it sang
the misery song
Everyday it played
Every day i'm wrong.
Call me back
To my life
I lost it some how
On the road to right
The clarity muddles
the once straight thought
The time that was spent
was thought to be lost
I stand on a mound,
Mound of victory
it crumbles swiftly
as if it was never there.
Look at the nails
embedded in my subtraction
reverse mutlitation
with all of your tell tales.
I'm done, watch my back
daggers on their way again
surely they of all things
would never let me down
Swiftly
Swiftly mine
Swiftly
Swiftly in time

I was once part of a community...to join, you had to reject your identity...they would disagree...their advertised product was a closer relationship to Goodness, Joy, Hope, Faith, Patience, Understanding...Love...their leverage to produce this product was guilt, shame, threats of torment, angry justice...because of my lineage, I bought it...hook, line and sinker...I sold my soul to the community, all the while searching desperately for this Goodness, Joy, Hope, Faith, Patience, Understanding...Love...never found it there...this part of my story relates to your poem...the daily emotional unheaval was mind-numbing
Your lines: "reverse mutlitation," "daggers on their way again," "surely they of all things
would never let me down," all ring true. In one of my earlier poems I expressed it as having "a footprint on the back of my head."
"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall see the kingdom of God." Happiness, joy, excitement...these are group things...easily shared...welcomed by others...being rather surface, they are easily understood...deep mourning...despair...depression...the are singular things...difficult to share...repulsive...certainly not welcome...a wet blanket...mourning is a lonely thing...it isolates...but, if that isolation is owned and not discarded, there is freedom from outside influences which distort your ability to see Truth, Wisdom, Beauty and Love. Society, in whatever form it takes, demands your allegiance...you can only have one Master...
Keep fighting...struggling...endeavor to discover how you have actually incorporated society into your "Self-"image...weed it out...tenaciously seek Truth, Wisdom, Beauty and Love...beware of the desire to seek security in social organizations...the price is your soul...
said too much...
I actually enjoyed the sharing of your spirit...it is something we have in common...
blessings,
