This has been building up for so long,
My body cannot take all this pressure.
I'm about to blow!
Heads a mess.
No sleep for days.
Self distruction on its way.
Close my eyes and the images flash.
This frustration I hide is killing me,
You will never know till its too late,
And you can then read about it after.
I feel so lonely.
Unwanted by all.
Dads never home!
Moms got a new life,
I wish I could have one too!
This one hurts too much!
I will not cut or take my life,
But struggle on and live in hate!
I will write my pain onto paper,
And cry into my pillow for hours each night,
Until the day I burst into flames,
And the pain is washed away.

hey, this is seriously deep and I don't exactly know the pain your going through, but I'm glad that your able to take your frustration out on paper and not by any other means. Just viewing this shows that you have a really great talent and are very good with words, so use this to the best of your ability here. Post comments and submit more poetry because I wanna review more!!!
P.s. You sound a bit like my sister! (-: |

aww... very, very emotional, i enjoyed this very much!! great write, i loved how you expressed yourself. sounds like you described me... refuses to cut or try suicide, but is really just killing myself on the inside. i hope that you will find someone who can help you get rid of the pain, wether it be a best friend, friend, an adult or even a little kid, i hope that you find someone who can help heal you. this pain is too much to take on yourself so find someone who you can share with and keep on writing the pain off--- it does help. great write, though, keep up the good work!!

Hey, I admire your determination not to resort to self-harm. It sounds like you're having a tough time of life, but if you see the hard times through, good will be on the other side of them. Especially if you manage to learn the many lessons that hard times have to teach.
Writing certainly helps, and reading good, inspiring poetry does as well. Here's a bit of advice, though. Many people turn to poetry to try to purge the pain, but as time goes on fall into a kind of rut, where poetry is like a drug, expelling the pain of the moment but never really lifting up a person to go beyond their grief and depression. At that point it becomes a curse rather than a blessing.
But if you consciously watch yourself, you should be able to keep from falling for that. Write about everything, good and bad, try to improve your skill, and you will find that as the art of poetry develops in you, the power of your writing to purge your emotions will increase, and you will find a new skylight to life.
All the best to you, and follow the Light. Have no part of darkness, for it never heals, only hides.
