WIND HAUNTS ME

Contributed by Lovingcritters on Monday, 17th October 2005 @ 04:02:51 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

WIND HAUNTS ME

ten years past, many summers ago,
the wind did indeed chill my bone morrow.
mournful whispers whirled 'round the car's window
never seen, only heard, a reminder of my sorrow

constant part of my past, and now present.
the wind reminds me of my past ailment.
homeless, no where to lie down my head.
mournful whispers of a horrible past's dread.

winds of Wyoming I hear each night
brisk, bleeding, brooding, and yet all right.
a time to remember when its sound haunted me,
comforting to me, in my warm bed's surrounding beauty

safe and secure within my new home's walls
whimpering whispers of wind as night falls
millions homeless as I was years past.
each blast of wind, I pray they too will last!

may their days be filled with endurance
may their days be filled with hope and
softened grievance.
may their days be filled with comforting
thoughts that this too will pass

may their days be filled with prayers
may their days be filled with faith so great,
the assured expectation of things hoped for,
the evident demonstration of realities
though not beheld,
from a Kind and most Loving Creator
may they fill their empty days with
His Love n'er withheld.

"In loving memory of all those
poor souls that have been lost,
and all those that hang onto their
lives at great cost. There will be
an end to your suffering for it has been
written and spoken world wide.
'Look I'm make a New Heavens
and a New Earth.'

"I will wipe every tear from your eye.
and death will be no more......neither will mourning
nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things
(the things we suffer now) will have passed away!"
From the Bible

Your poems is absolutely beautiful. And the great compassion for those stricken by disaster and made now homeless, homeless with which you seem to be familiar. Me too in many ways.
Thank you for thinking and praying for those suffering and unfortunate stricken by disaster.
Wonderful tribute to the suffering.
