Lightning strikes, thunder roars
Over the rugged terrain
The heavenly skies open up
Down pours the wistful rain
Nestled cosily by the fire
I lay revering of you
Passion in my heart ignites
For what I feel is true
I hear the wind gently blow
It whispers your sweet name
Casting provoking illusions
Takes me to a higher plane
We waltz around in our dream
Amongst cotton candy skies
We dance together gracefully
As time slowly slips on by
Stars ruffle amidst the clouds
The moon sleeps peacefully tonight
Lightning covers the sky
Flashing through the night
As I lay in your arms
Time stands still in rapture
Lustful desires are fulfilled
Loving moments I capture
Thunder arouses me from slumber
Rain pours down my pane
I’ll have to wait until tomorrow
To waltz with you again…

Ooooh, I like this! It's like a continuation of that other one of yours you wrote awhile back for Eddy...It seems to be anyway.
Nice, sweeping flow through and through. Good write, with pleasant thoughts, and dreamy imagery.

Such lovely imagery *huggles* I do hope you two waltz together again soon, it's obvious you care deeply about them for you wouldn't be able to say this with such passion and conviction that I can tell is there by reading... and how you hear them and see them by all around you is just great *smiles* this is lovely

So many built up emotions stated in this write Sue, Eddy, the editor, this poem captured my heart, I sense every word. I see it, I hear it, I feel it, I can even taste the elements. This is another one of your enjoyable poems I have read, in the past couple days, this one also brings warmth and ease, a close snuggling, romantic type, the attitude marked by a longing for two people to share once more what they feel, and know, I pray for the tomorrow, the two of you will waltz again. Thank you Sue, for conversing with me in messages, your are very sweet, I love this poem, I promise this will not be my last read from you, and the editor. I have read several poems from authors, yours as well, before I became a member. I am so pleased to finally meet the authors of these wonderfully skilled penned out art pieces. Powerful, the mind visits a peaceful place of romance, a paradise, dancing together, this poem is full of excitement, ethereal, surrealistic painting, a dreamy atmosphere.
