hello, once again lord - It's me the one who can't seem to take control
Every day I feel life - slipping further and further into the hole
The one I dug all by my self - I never had any ones help
I lived alone beside myself - I never found a way
To get inside and love my life - And not just take it away
So many times I've lied awake - Just thinking About the past
All my wrongs haunting me - my walls are closing fast
Self afflicting - Pain of my own - it's all I have - None can take away
Long lost love - for my self - Once again begins to fade
Help me - Save me - Love me - Trust me - Let me move on
Please forgive me before I'm too far gone

Hi Joe,
This is a very honest, ernest prayer.
In the bible it says the fear of the Lord is only the begiining of knowledge.
I know these same feelings from my past.
I've found that God gave us forgiveness when Jesus died on the cross.
When you come to know the Lord full with luv, mercy-n-grace then you loose the fear.
It harder for us to forgive ourselves.
God knows us well 'cause he predestinated us before we were ever born.
The reason Jesus died on the cross for our sins is because God knew how it would be here. All God ever wants from any of us is to luv and trust him. Once you realize that we are human and were never meant to be perfect here then you can find forgiveness for yourself. God has already saved you but you have to accept it and beleive.
One doesn't have to sit in a church pew to know God for he is the all knowing, ever present God of luv.

The lines in this poem are so beautifully written and they are very haunting
All my wrongs haunting me - my walls are closing fast
Self afflicting - Pain of my own - it's all I have - None can take away
Those lines really struck me I feel a lot like you described in the poem. Wow this poem brought tears to my eyes especially the last line. I have asked that with different words many, many times. Remember you are not alone... I loved this thanks for posting this.

| A most beautiful prayer that God has heard from you. I know it is a prayer from your hear. God does help, does save us even from ourselves, He loves you for He sent His Son to die on the cross for you and every sin that you have or ever will do. Trust Him, that He is the One who is in control of our life. He will let you move on. Trust Him and know Him through the bible. He knows all about us, our feelings, our fears, our pain, our thoughts, He knows all. He has already forgiven you my friend no matter what you have done. We all have done wrong things in our lives, but He is gracious and merciful to forgive us. Once you can truly come to grips that God has forgiven you by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all your sins, you will then forgive yourself and find peace.I know, I have gone through what you have my friend. He will always be there for you no matter where you are. He will never leave you nor forsake you. What an awesome promise to us He has made to them who believe in Him. I will pray for you. Take care my friend. |

| joe I just found this poem randomly today and I must say I'm so glad I did.This is so deeply moving, and goes straight to the heart of the reader: it did for me anyways. It's an exquisite expression of how we all feel at times, when we make a plea for forgiveness for our wrongs. Our pasts haunt us all now and again, but even before He can forgive us we also must forgive ourselves.... thank you for sharing this joe it is a great write :o) |

| Hi Joe, Your poetry was so beautiful. You express your deepest feelings so well with such compassion. God does love you Joe, He cares about you, He forgives all sins. He will always love you. God can take away pain, emotional, physical, emotional. Please give Him a chance and He will not let you down, never will He let you down. |
