No longer, dare I dream-
For a heart now empty-
Sees not, but love’s delusion-
As the future now holds no reward’s…
Hope exists not for I-
My soul now torn away-
Left unaided, currently empty and cold-
Now teary for what might have become…
The mind unfilled, yet full-
As empty laughter rings out loud-
And silent pleas go unheard upon deaf ears-
While remnants of yesterday linger and taunt…
A smile, now worn without pride-
Only a simple expression for all to see-
Holds fast to hide my pain within-
Binding tight the hurting of love nevermore…
No longer, dare I dream-
Of expectations that could have been-
Yet held no chance to survive the past-
For to do so is only to find pain…
