My Friend Of Sorrow

Contributed by djs on Saturday, 15th October 2005 @ 06:31:05 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

by now I should be used to this game,
I have been playing for quite some time
my trivial hopes of winning
always lead me back here
back to my sorrow,
the one thing that never leaves my side
is only thing I wish would
but he is there
waiting for me
just like I wait for the rain
my friend of sorrow,
I forgot what it is like without you in my life
this bleak depression has killed everything
all of my hopes,
all of my dreams,
all that I wanted to be,
inside i have died.
I'm growing numb to your offerings
but I always let you in,
because I can't help but cry

Very emotive. This reminds me of someone I know; they seem to be stuck in the same rut. I hope things improve for you soon.
Nice job.

I know for I've had it for 6 years now. Hang tuff and may u see brighter days ahead.
A very well expressed and heartfelt poem. Kee penning ur emotions. It does help.
*heartfelt hugs 4 u *
