Waiting.

With a wretched memory
She forces a smile
Convincing herself
That this life is worth while
"It'll get better someday..
You'll see in good time"
Yeah, that's what they all say
But she's losing her mind
They don't have a clue
About what she's hiding inside
She feeds you her lies
And sets her real feelings aside
You think she's ok
You tell her she's fine
Overriding her feelings
You leave her behind
But just cause you can't see it
Doesn't mean it isn't there
And just cause she hides it well
Doesn't mean you shouldn't care
Imprisioned by the sickness
That dwells inside her mind
Causing her to feel worthless..
Not knowing if she can make it this time
But still she persists
Holding on to her hopes and dreams
Still awaiting "That day" she'll be glad to exist
But its taking so long, forever it seems.
She's waiting ..
She's waiting..
She's waiting..

..I'm waiting.

Hey pix !! This was great. Truly. The flow was flawless and
your meanings were expressed with such poetic clarity.
It was a wonderful write. ...and the feelings that dwell
inside will fade and/or switch and alter. Keep writing!
It helps tremendously.
Good luck !

Good write-
Sometimes one must look beyond what they feel, beyond what others see, beyond what denies them happiness-
You havea great gift for seeing truth-
Keep writting and the pieces will fall in place for you and you will see the better side of tomorrow...

Hey, I LOVED your poem, it's the best I've read on here today, by far. I have a friend who feels....EXACTLY the same way, I'm going to show this to her. You expressed this perfectly...
