Unemployment

Contributed by rickshaw on Saturday, 15th October 2005 @ 06:06:41 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Grey people sit
in drink and drug fear
the pens don't
even work in here
we hate the tellers
the tellers hate us
we make a mistake
they make a fuss

Some of them
look at you
like you came in
on their shoe
if I take a job
will I become
miserable like you
cos thats something
I'm not willing to do

Staying up late
drinking Guinness
watching crap movies
till their finished
staying up late
playing the guitar
unemployment has
been good so far

Staying in bed
till two or three
taking long baths
watching daytime T.V
going nowhere
on my motorbike
doing whatever
the hell....I like

Everybody deserves
a little break
Everybody deserves
some help from the state
Everybody deserves
to watch countdown
Everyone deserves
to wander around town

i liked this one because it feels like it really does capture the essence of unemployment.it's a good twist from the common belief that nothing good can come from it.we all need our time.
