When things go well
And the future looks good,
We laugh and cheer
And act understood.
We ponder can and will
But forget could and would.
But soon
The food rots
The water turns stale.
Yet we cling to hope
To our beliefs and lies,
While we whither away
And grow pale
And die.
Most leaders are golden figs,
Wonderful, as we see their golden skin;
Yet often we find that they are bitter within.
Are we men drawing elephants with our eyes closed,
Or are we merely loud, sightless sheep
Following some equally sightless pigs?

I understand what you mean here. I guess as a lesson we will have to strive to be different. |

I know the concept behind ur words. We are all different. Can u image this world if everybody was the same, ugh!
Your writes are always interesting and you can always manage to have the reader captivated from start to finish. Keep penning.
*hugs*
