Do you not see?
The little girl, who sits by herself?
At the lunch table; eating soup.
She looks tired;
Like she hasn’t slept.
Do you not see?
The little girl, who hangs with the freaks and geeks?
Sitting in the classroom; waiting for the bell to ring.
She looks tired;
Like she hasn’t slept.
Do you not see?
The little girl, who wears baggy clothes?
Though she is not hit; but yelled at.
She looks tired;
Like she hasn’t slept.
Do you not see?
The little girl, who seems to be happy?
Silently wishing for one thing; though it is gone forever.
She looks tired;
Like she hasn’t slept.
I didn’t see her today.
The little girl had vanished….
Only to be found in a willow tree by her house.
She looks tired;
Like she hasn’t slept.
But her eyes are now forever closed.
In an eerie silence, that fills everyone.
