Never Fold When Love's At Stake

Contributed by MetalheadSD on Friday, 14th October 2005 @ 01:34:02 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

She says she loves us both
But he got there first
He has the cup of water
And I am dying of thirst
I would hold her upon a pedistal
But it is her he already holds
I really do not have a chance
This is where a poker player folds
But still I hold my hand
Even though I only have a pair
I hope he is only bluffing
Because for her I really do care
And even if I lose this fight
The fight for her heart
I now I will never truely lose her
And that we will never truely part
I know this because she has me
She can not lose me and never will
Because I have given her my love
And in the future I will love her still
So please fate
Show us soon our destiny
Because right now my path is lonely
And I would like her to walk next to me

I like your analogy and metaphoric expressions, in regard to deeper and more-so significant values...your queen of hearts?
A heart-warming write.
Well done.

I'd rather not get into any game where love is put up at stakes. If it is, it surely is something else. Love comes naturally, there is no 'winning' or 'losing' it.

You're in a very hard situation. I wish u the best of luck. Love is not a game and I really hope u don't end up being hurt.
*heartfelt hugs*
